Emissions & Compliance
EU ETS, FuelEU and CII, handled end to end.
From the monitoring plan to the allowances surrendered and the charterer invoiced, we run the yearly cycle with you, using figures from your own reports.
Services
What we take on.
EU ETS & MRV
Regulation (EU) 2015/757 · Directive 2003/87/EC
- Monitoring plans prepared and kept up to date, methane and nitrous oxide included
- Statements per voyage and per period, with berth times and sources
- Preparation for verification and liaison with your verifier
- Support with the Union Registry account and a surrender calendar
- Recharge statements to time charterers under the BIMCO ETS clause
- UK ETS scope check for voyages between UK ports
FuelEU Maritime
Regulation (EU) 2023/1805
- Monitoring plan and yearly FuelEU report
- GHG intensity and compliance balance tracked through the year
- Options compared: pooling, banking, borrowing, biofuel blends
- Finding pool partners and preparing the pooling notification
- Penalty estimate per voyage and for the year
CII & SEEMP
MARPOL Annex VI, reg. 26–28
- A CII plan for the year, with the speed and port-time limits that keep the rating
- Year-to-date tracking and year-end projection for every vessel
- SEEMP Part III updates, and corrective action plans after three Ds or an E
- IMO DCS data checked before submission
EEXI & energy efficiency
- EEXI technical file and overridable power limitation documents
- Energy-saving devices and hull coatings: savings against cost
- Timing of hull cleaning and propeller polishing from the performance data
- Speed and route options with their fuel, EUA and CII effect
Performance & claims
- Speed and consumption claims analysed against the charter party warranty and its good-weather terms
- Hull and propeller performance reports for owners and charterers
- Bunker consumption reviews and ROB reconciliations
IMO Net-Zero Framework
The IMO is due to decide on the framework on 4 December 2026. When the text is final, we will estimate each vessel’s exposure and the choices that reduce it.
Training
- EU ETS and FuelEU for commercial and accounts teams
- Noon report quality for masters and chief engineers
Berth to berth
Where every hour of a voyage belongs.
Under the EU ETS a voyage runs from the port of call where cargo was worked to the next one. Time waiting at anchor before berthing belongs to the voyage; time alongside belongs to the port. Getting these times right changes what you pay.
The yearly cycle
Deadlines we keep with you.
The same dates every year. We prepare each step in good time and keep a record a verifier can follow.
Monitoring and per-voyage statements
Noon reports checked as they arrive; EU ETS and FuelEU figures per voyage and per period.
FuelEU report to the verifier
For the previous calendar year, with the emissions data prepared for MRV verification.
Verification completed
Emissions verified by the accredited verifier; FuelEU compliance balance recorded.
FuelEU banking, borrowing or pooling
Decide and notify how a surplus or deficit is handled.
FuelEU penalties and Document of Compliance
Any penalty paid; the FuelEU Document of Compliance must be on board.
Surrender of EU allowances
Allowances for the previous year’s verified emissions; 100% for 2026 emissions.
Before fixing
The emissions cost of a voyage, before you agree the freight.
Our voyage estimate prices EUAs and the FuelEU penalty for a planned voyage from the vessel’s own consumption, and issues it as a signed PDF for the chartering desk.
